Police find elderly man that wandered away from his Carroll Township home

CARROLL TOWNSHIP, Pa.– Search crews Thursday located an elderly man who wandered away from his home in York County.

Kenneth Tracy, 79, left his residence near Tannery and Blair Mountain Roads late Wednesday night.

Crews located Tracy about a half-mile from his home in a wooded mountainous area. It is believed he spent Wednesday night outdoors, but he did not suffer any weather-related ailments. Crews say he was conscious and alert when they found him.

Tracy was taken to York Hospital with cuts and bruises, but is expected to recover from his injuries.
