Escaped work release inmate sought by State Police in York County

SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNHIP, Pa.– State Police in York County are looking for an escaped inmate, who failed to report to work and return to York County Prison’s Work Release Center.

Troopers say 43-year old Tyrone Wright Harteis left the York County Prison Work Release Center in Springettsbury Township just before 7:00 Friday morning.

He was supposed to report to his place of employment, but never arrived.

State Police have issued a warrant for his arrest. If you have information about his whereabouts, you are asked to contact State Police at the Loganville Barracks at (717) 428-1011.
