Within the next 30 days, Gov Tom Wolf’s administration will have to release more emails from his former Chief of Staff, and current Democratic US Senate nominee Katie McGinty, according to the Commonwealth Court.

It’s been over a year since the Pennsylvania GOP requested access to McGinty’s email while she served in the Governor’s administration. However, Wolf’s office initially had refused the GOP’s request saying it was too broad.

The 30-day deadline, rendered by the Commonwealth Court, would come after the Tuesday, Nov. 8 General Election.

According to the Pennsylvania GOP, “to date, only 71 out of 15,000 pages of emails in this request has been publicly released, 25 pages of which were an advertising brochure for cablewire.”

Republican Party of Pennsylvania Communications Director Megan Sweeney said, “Pennsylvania’s taxpayer dollars should not be used as a way for Tom Wolf to hide Katie McGinty’s emails until five days after Election Day. It’s time for Katie McGinty to put an end to this ridiculous charade and call for the immediate release of her government emails.”
