WEST YORK, Pa., --West York Council members are expected to make a decision Monday night on whether to accept the terms of a resignation letter written by the Borough's Mayor, Charles Wasko.

Wasko's letter comes after he was asked to resign because he posted several racist comments to his Facebook page. The letter includes four conditions, one of which asks the council to "entertain" his request to hire a sergeant for the Police Department. According to Council President Shawn Mauck, the other conditions are personal matters.

Mayor Wasko says if one of the four conditions is met, he will resign.  If Wasko does resign, it will become effective this Friday, October 21st.

The council meeting starts at 6 pm Monday night.
