The capital of Pennsylvania will be featured on national television in the new year.  Producers with C-SPAN began touring Harrisburg on Tuesday, starting with the Atrium at City Hall.  The special will feature the history and literary culture of the city, as shown through tours of Harrisburg's historic sites, and told through interviews with local historians and authors.

"We want folks to come and experience the history, and the wonderful food and the culture and everything Harrisburg has to offer," said Mayor Eric Papenfuse.  "I see this as a great opportunity for tourism to the city, and I'm looking forward to telling the story on a national scale."

The segments recorded this week will air on January 21st and 22nd, on Comcast's BookTV (C-SPAN2) and American History TV (C-SPAN3).
