LANCASTER, Pa.–The Salvation Army of Lancaster is gearing up for the cold by providing people with free coats and other winter gear!

The coat distribution program gets underway Wednesday, Oct 19.

Coats, hats and gloves will be given away between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army located at 131 South Queen Street. The distribution will run through Oct. 21, or until the supply is gone.

“We are starting to see request for warmer clothing now that the cooler weather has arrived,” said Captain Timothy Sheehan, commander of the Salvation Army of Lancaster. “We are happy to be able to assist people in our community with these coats.”

Please bring a form of ID for each family member who needs a coat.
