HARRISBURG, PA. –  Harrisburg mayor Eric Papenfuse spoke at a State of the City Breakfast event earlier today.  It took place at the Camp Curtin YMCA on North 6th Street, and the theme of the event was “Strengthening our Roots as a City and Region.” The mayor talked about some of the things his administration has accomplished in the past 3 years, like making the city of Harrisburg stable financially and starting an LED lighting program to save money on electric bills.

“We should all be proud that the city of Harrisburg is now known around the country as a city of smart people who have taken charge of their finances and saved their city,” said Mayor Eric Papenfuse.

Mayor Papenfuse said the proceeds from the event will go toward non-profit organizations in the state.
