HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Thousands of people gathered in Harrisburg on Saturday to enjoy good food all while celebrating a worthwhile cause to benefit children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The 2016 "Wish Upon a Food Truck Festival" brought 35 food trucks from our area together into one location. Some of the trucks were featured on the Food Network and Cooking Channel reality shows.

Along with the food trucks, attendees enjoyed music, meet and greets with local celebrities, including FOX43's own Ali Bradley.

The event benefited the "Make-a-Wish Foundation" of Philadelphia, Northern Delaware and the Susquehanna Valley.

But fulfilling each wish for many children comes with a high price tag. "Each wish costs $10,500 so it takes a lot of money and a lot of events like this to make those wishes happen," Sherrie Davis, a wish granter with The "Make-a-Wish" Foundation says.

The foundation says the wishes it fulfills for children can provide them with a life changing experience.

Its mission is to grant wishes to children fighting life-threatening medical conditions.
