UPPER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — A Millersburg man and woman are accused of endangering the welfare of two toddlers, following an incident that occurred in July.

Leonard and Doris Carr, both 49, of Millersburg, face a preliminary hearing in December after being arraigned at a district court on October 18th.

EMS and State Police responded to a home on the 500-block of Ruby Road for a report that a child consumed prescription medication on July 14th. Troopers say the child was transported to the hospital for treatment.

During their response, it was determined that the home was “deplorable and in extremely poor conditions.” Troopers deemed it unsafe for two children under the age of three who lived in the home.

Both children were taken from the home and Dauphin County Children and Youth Services were notified. The Child Abuse Protection Unit of the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office pressed criminal charges.
