SOUTH LONDONDERRY TOWNSHIP, LEBANON COUNTY — Three students were taken to the hospital after the school bus they were riding in was struck by a pickup truck in Lebanon County on Monday morning.

It happened just before 8:30 a.m. along the 1600 block of South Forge Road in South Londonderry Township. According to police reports, an AP Bucks school bus with the Palmyra Area School District  was heading north on South Forge Road when it was rear-ended by a pickup truck. Twenty two students were aboard the bus at the time of the crash, investigators said.

One student and the driver of the pickup truck was taken by EMS to Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Two other students were taken to the hospital by their parents, according to police reports.

Authorities say the school bus had minor damage to its rear bumper. The pickup truck had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
