WEST PENNSBORO TOWNSHIP, CUMBERLAND COUNTY–The Cumberland County coroner’s office has identified the man killed in a three-vehicle crash in West Pennsboro Township on Wednesday morning as 78-year-old Ronald Shull Kell, of Mechanicsburg.

The crash happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. along Ritner Highway, near Burnt House Road.

According to state police reports, a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Newville man was headed west on Burnt House Road when he went through a stop sign at the intersection of Ritner Highway and crashed into a northbound vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Carlisle woman.

Kell was heading southbound on Ritner Highway and hit one of the vehicles involved in the initial crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other drivers and their passengers, a 3-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl, all suffered minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
