Lebanon man killed in two vehicle crash when truck runs red light

LEBANON, Pa. – A 60 year old Lebanon man is dead following a two vehicle crash Wednesday night in the city.  Police responded at about 10:40 p.m. to the accident at South 9th and Chestnut Streets.  It involved a truck traveling north on S. 9th Street and a car traveling east on Chestnut Street.

The truck traveling north ran through at a red traffic signal at the intersection and struck the car traveling that had a green traffic signal.  The car, occupied by three people, was pushed into the fire hydrant at the northeast corner of 9th and Chestnut Streets and came to rest against a metal light pole.  Two passengers from the car were transported to a local medical facility for treatment.

The driver of the truck, 73 year old Richard Stauffer of Spring Grove, was not injured.  The driver of the car, 67 year old Nilsa Bonilla-Vazquez of Lebanon was also not injured.  A rear seat passenger in the car, 27 year old Ana Jimenez of Lebanon was treated at a local medical facility and released.

The front seat passenger Hector Ivan Primental-Objio of Lebanon was taken to the hospital facility but, died as a result of injuries sustained during the accident.

Lebanon City Police say their investigation of the fatal crash continues.
