YORK, Pa.– The York City Council is aiming to fill a recently vacated seat in office.
The opening comes after York City Council President Carol Hill-Evans announced her resignation following her win of the 95th Legislative District Seat.
Officials say anyone that is interested has until next Wednesday to submit their application.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have been a resident of the city for at least a year, and will reside in the city for the term of their service.
Council members will appoint a new person to office during a special meeting that is scheduled to be held on November 21.
