Spring Grove area man dies after truck rolls down incline

HEIDELBERG TWP., York County, Pa. — A Spring Grove Area resident died when his truck struck him after rolling down an incline.

Southwestern Regional Police were called to the 6300 block of Old Hanover Rd., Heidelberg Twp., around 11:30 am on November 15, 2016. The victim, a man in his 70’s, was deceased. His identification will be released after family has been notified.

The investigation indicated that the truck, located on a farm lane at that location, began to roll backwards. The victim apparently attempted to stop the truck. The force of the rolling truck caused blunt force trauma to the victim and he succumbed from his injuries.

The York County Coroners Office was also on the scene of the incident.
