YORK TOWNSHIP, Pa. --11-year-old Lorelei McIntyre Brewer is MaryEllen Pann FOX43's Weather Kid today! She is in 6th grade homeschool student with an extraordinary story.
Lorelei was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. She created Heart Hugs, a global organization that sends compression heart pillows to pediatric open heart patients, helps to pay for orphans' heart surgeries, and advocates for awareness and medical advancements in the congenital heart defect world.
She is currently the Military Child of the Year for the Army and her work has been recognized by government, medical, educational, and business sectors.
