Road closed in Jackson Twp. due to overturned propane truck, fire

JACKSON TWP., Pa.– An overturned propane truck that caught fire has closed South Lake Road and left one injured this morning. There have been evacuations of about 10 homes in the quarter-mile area around the spill.

Reportedly, the truck flipped over an embankment, flipped on its side, and began shooting flames about 15-20 feet into the air. There was about 2,400 gallons of propane in the truck and crews said that they will let it all run out and have a controlled burn for 6-7 hours.

It is being reported that the driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
