Police: Woman uses child to help shoplift in Lancaster County

EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY–Police are looking for a woman who they say enlisted the help of a young child to shoplift in Lancaster County.

According to police, a woman who was accompanied by a little girl entered the ‘Go! Calendars Games & Toys’ store at Rockvale Square in East Lampeter Township around 7:25 p.m. on Thursday.

The woman told the little girl to put merchandise into a large empty bag, police said. The woman was seen putting other items into her purse before meeting back up with the child near the door.


The suspect is described as a Hispanic female, about 30 years of age, 5’5″ in height with brown hair. She was overheard calling the little girl “Bella.” It is believed the little girl is between 8 or 9 years old.
