Crank the heat in the car for the morning. It’s a frigid feel with wind chills running in the 20s! Thankfully, it’s not as gusty and we’ll see more sunshine too.  Morning lows drop to the upper 20s and lower 30s.  Afternoon highs are cold but a few degrees warmer than Monday in the lower and middle 40s under mostly sunny skies.

HOLIDAY OUTLOOK

thanksgiving_wed-travelWinds finally die down for traveling mid-week.  Across most of the state and along the east coast, it is dry for traveling. Most of the active weather is located in western PA, across the Ohio Valley, and in the Great Lakes. That is where you’ll find rain and snow showers.    Highs are a bit milder near 50 degrees Wednesday.  Clouds increase as our next system thanksgiving_evening-forecastapproaches and a late day or evening shower is possible.  Our northwest counties may see a brief mix.  Keep the umbrella handy for Thanksgiving Day, showers are more likely as the front pushes through and temperatures return to the 40s.  It won’t be a washout so if you’re stuffed with good food and need to walk it off you’ll still be able too! Speaking of walking, Black Friday shopping looks dry with a lot of clouds.  A jacket is a must in the morning with lows in the 30s.  Afternoon temperatures recover to the upper 40s and lower 50s.  Happy shopping!

QUIET WEEKEND

Storm system sweeping by to our north may clip the area with a few rain and snow showers overnight.  It moves out early morning.  Clouds linger to start the day Saturday, but skies brighten and with dry conditions, highs climb to near 50 again.  More sunshine Sunday adds a few more degrees to afternoon highs.  Most will top out in the lower 50s.  Heading back to work, our next system is quickly approaching with rain showers.  Highs are back in the 40s too.
