Harrisburg, PA.  - Those who are looking for something fun to do in the Harrisburg area can now go on carriage rides! The rides are provided by the South Mountain Carriage Company on City Island, which held a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier today.
The company has been open since 2014, but moved to its new location earlier this year to provide rides in the city. The company has several carriage styles available, along with two draft horses and one miniature horse to pull them. Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse attended the ceremony, jokingly saying the company's close to offering another service as well.

"We're gonna put a call out now for a sleigh," Mayor Eric Papenfuse said. "If anyone's got a sleigh in their barn or their backyard, we're looking for a sleigh because it wouldn't take much to offer sleigh rides."

The carriage rides are available for weddings, dinner dates, and tours on City Island and along Harrisburg's Riverfront.
