MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Flights coming into Harrisburg International Airport from Atlanta and Detroit are filled with passengers eager to be home for Thanksgiving.

"I’m looking forward to my mom’s cooking," Joanna Gomez , Atlanta.

"Trying chocolate and meeting family members," said  10- year-old, Arden Silver who is going to Hershey for the holiday.

"Thanksgiving dinner and lots of wine," said Kate Diamond who flew in from Wisconsin.

The airport will see a lot of traffic, but officials say it is actually not their busiest time of the year. They are busier in the summer when they have business travelers and people going on vacation.

Penndot states the most popular form of traveling home for Thanksgiving is to drive.
