CARLISLE, Pa.–A man was injured Wednesday morning after two men attacked him while he went outside to warm up his car in Carlisle.  Police are currently looking for the suspects.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Redwood Drive in Carlisle around 6:15 a.m. for a report of a home invasion and assault, according to the criminal complaint. Police found the victim at the scene with multiple injuries.

The victim told police he was assaulted by two men, one whom he identified as 32-year-old Lamar Hodge, as he went outside to warm up his car, according to court documents.

He said Hodge hit him several times with a baseball bat, court documents state. The victim tried to retreat inside his house but fell and tried to kick the door shut, court documents state. Hodge and the other suspect forced their way inside and continued to beat the victim’s  head and arms with the bat and another object, according to the criminal complaint.

A warrant has been issued for Hodge’s arrest. He is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and burglary.
