Man, woman injured in Harrisburg shooting

HARRISBURG, Pa.--A man and woman were hospitalized after being shot in Harrisburg early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of State Street after receiving multiple calls for reports of shots fired near the City Line bar and Lounge around 2:08 a.m.

Authorities say a 25-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were found on the ground with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center and underwent emergency surgery.

According to police reports, officers arrived at the scene and were confronted by a crowd of over 200 people who became confrontational with police. Pennsylvania State Police and additional officers from surrounding jurisdictions responded to assist with crowd control.

Several vehicles were also hit by gunfire along the 2000 block of Walnut Street, police said.
