SWATARA TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY–Police are investigating after a bicyclist was robbed and assaulted at gunpoint near the Greenbelt in Swatara Township.

It happened Monday along the 1200 block of South 28th Street in Swatara Township around 4:43 p.m.

The 25-year-old victim told police he was riding his bicycle near the entrance of the Greenbelt when two men approached him, one of them was armed with a gun.  The robbers demanded his bicycle–but he resisted. The suspects assaulted him and took off with his bicycle heading west on the Greenbelt towards 19th Street.

The suspect with the gun is described as an 18-year-old black male with a “parted Afro” wearing a blue jacket. The second suspect is described as a stocky 18-year-old Hispanic male wearing an orange jacket.
