WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY–West Manchester Township Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who they say robbed a Walmart in York County. Police believe the suspect is also responsible for three similar robberies in the area.
The most recent happened shortly before 9:15 a.m. Monday at Walmart located along the 1000 block of Town Center Drive in West Manchester Township.
According to police reports, a man approached the Customer Service desk and demanded money. The robber claimed he had a gun, but no weapon was displayed. He took off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the parking lot in a vehicle which was parked in the fire lane.
The suspect is described as being in his mid to late 40s, 5’8″ or 5’9″ in height and weighs approximately 225 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray full-zip hoodie and dark gray or black knit beanie-style hat. He was driving a two-tone maroon/gray Hyundai Santa Fe with black roof rack/rails and a large dent in the right rear quarter panel, just above the right wheel well. The vehicle also displayed an emblem of some kind (possibly an Apple Automotive logo) in the lower left corner of the tailgate.
Police believe the suspect is responsible for three similar robberies at the East York Walmart in July 2016; the West York Walmart on November 15, 2016; and the Turkey Hill on Roosevelt Avenue in York City on November, 27, 2016.
