LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.–New charges have been filed against a man who police say broke into a woman’s home earlier this month and brutally attacked her.
Devin Harmon, 38, of Philadelphia, was initially charged with burglary, criminal trespass, misdemeanor assault and related offenses for Nov. 18 burglary and assault. On Monday, prosecutors filed additional charges against Harmon which include felony aggravated assault, felony sex assault, stalking, intimidation of a witness and retaliation against a witness, and felony drug-dealing.
Harmon’s bail was also increased to $750,000.
Authorities say Harmon went to the woman’s home three separate times on Nov. 18 to commit the crimes. He allegedly beat the woman and sexually assaulted her for cooperating with police.
Prosecutors say Harmon is “potentially extremely dangerous” because of the new, more serious charges, and that he already committed a “very violent” set of crimes.
