YORK COUNTY, Pa. – Coroner Pam Gay says three overdose victims were found within 5 hours in three separate areas of the county on Wednesday. All three deaths were suspected to be related to heroin.
Gay released that information to heighten public awareness of the danger of drug use. She says any amount of heroin, fentanyl or drugs that look like heroin or fentanyl can kill. She warned that those especially vulnerable are those who have been abstinent for some time.
If a person is suspected of overdose, Gays say you should call 911 and administer Narcan if available and wait for EMS to arrive.
