MIDDLE PAXTON TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.–A Dauphin County husband and wife are facing charges after state police say they stole $99,000 from their elderly neighbor.
Kelly Ruhl, 37 and David Ruhl, 42, both of Middle Paxton Township, are each charged with burglary, access device fraud and theft by unlawful taking. The couple were arraigned on November 29 and taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $100,000 and $75,000 bail respectively.
According to state police reports, the Ruhl’s conspired together to steal approximately $99,000 from their 88-year-old neighbor. State police say the pair took the money by using the victim’s debit card. The thefts occurred over several months–beginning in July 2016.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 17.
