GUSTY AND COLD!
WEEKEND OUTLOOK
High pressure builds in Saturday allowing for more sunshine to mix in and out of the clouds. The breeze is not as strong but winds out of the west-northwest still expected around 5 to 15mph. They do calm overnight leading to much colder morning lows Sunday. After morning lows in the middle 20s, temperatures only budge to the lower 30s Saturday. Clouds quickly move in as a warm front lifts through early Sunday. The atmosphere is cold enough to support a few snow flakes. The day is overcast and chilly in the middle and upper 30s. Towards the evening, as the cold front approaches, the chance for a few snow showers returns. Overnight, temperatures drop to near freezing, keeping the threat for snow showers around. Models indicate some warmer air mixing in early Monday supporting a change or mix with rain showers. Still some differences and of course, timing and temps are key to what type of precipitation we get. We’ll continue to fine-tune the forecast in the next few days. Tuesday into Wednesday, another front with strong upper-level energy arrives, again, giving us another chance for a few snow showers and possible mix. Highs are cold in the 30s both days with Wednesday being the coldest in the lower 30s.
