YORK, Pa.-- The Salvation Army is in prime season right now, with red kettles for donations set up outside many stores and locations.

Donations to the Salvation Army make their Christmas food and toy programs possible, while also helping gear up for their services in 2017.

Now, there are new ways to donate.

The Salvation Army has created the online red kettle, enabling you to donate online from anywhere. There is an online donations goal of $10,000 that you can help the organization reach.

FOX43 is doing its part to help raise money for the Salvation Army as well, by ringing bells by the red kettle outside the Walmart Supercenter in West Manchester Township from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8. Come out, meet your favorite FOX43 personality, and donate to the Salvation Army!

Today on FOX43 Morning News, Major Erma Camuti, the area coordinator, and Michele Baker, Director of Advancement, from the Salvation Army in York will be offering up more information on how to get involved this holiday season.

To donate or for more information on the Salvation Army, you can visit their York website here.
