The Lebanon County Drug Task Force and DEA-Harrisburg announced the arrest of three people who distributed and possessed heroin, as well were arrested on other drug offenses.

Members of the task force were performing surveillance Nov. 20 in the 100 block of North Liberty St. The task force responded to a complaint of suspected drug activity, according to the Lebanon County District Attorney’s office.

While observing the house, task members saw activity consistent with the reported complaint. Joseph A. Golembewski, 54, of 806 Pershing St., was alleged to have been in possession of 92 bags of heroin with a street value of $900. Authorities allege Golembewski was delivering 20 bags to a North Annville Township address, where he was stopped by police.

The 54-year-old was taken to Lebanon County Central Booking Center, where he was processed and arraigned upon charges. The Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office reports that he was charged with Possession of Heroin and Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility. He was ordered held in the Lebanon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000.

Officials investigating the case said they allege Golembewski worked with Jacqueline Maldonado-Marte, 39, of 124 North Liberty St., to obtain the bags of heroin for a price of $450.00. Police executed a search warrant December 1 for Maldonado-Marte’s residence. During the search, five bags of cocaine were allegedly found within the residence, and one bag of cocaine was found on Maldonado-Marte.

She was taken into custody, and transported to Lebanon County Central Booking Center, where she was processed and arraigned on charges that include, Delivery of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, as well as Criminal Use of a Communication Facility. Maldonado-Marte had previously been released on $150,000 bail, and had an ankle monitor in connection with similar charges from a June 2016 search warrant and arrest. The district attorney’s office set a new bail amount of $500,000. She was ordered held in the Lebanon County Correctional Facility.

In addition, the Lebanon County Drug Task Force announced the arrest of a Lebanon City 39-year-old man. Jorge Luis Aponte-Ortiz, the district attorney explained, of 300 Lehman St., allegedly sold a bundle of heroin, 10 bags, for $100 to a task force informant. It happened on Sept. 25, 2015 in the 100 block of Arnold St. An arrest warrant was obtained for Aponte-Ortiz, who members of the task force found on December 1. He was taken into custody by Task Force members.

Aponte-Ortiz was taken to the Lebanon County Central Booking Center, where he was processed and arraigned on charges, including the Delivery of Heroin, Possession of Heroin, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was ordered held in lieu of $500,000 at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility.
