LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. - According to the US Census Bureau, the number of people facing poverty in Lancaster County is growing. In 2015, over 1,000 more people lived in poverty than the year before.

For the last 13 months, the newly formed, Mayor's Commission to Combat Poverty, has been doing research on how to best combat the issue. They will release details of their final plan on Thursday.

"We can't keep doing the same things and expecting a different result. We've got to change the fundamental paradigm of how we go after these issues to go after poverty ," said Dan Jurman, Chair of the Lancaster County Commission to Combat Poverty.
