Man accused of assaulting trooper at York Hospital

York, Pa. — A Glen Rock man is facing charges after police say he kicked a state trooper at York Hospital. It happened on December 13th, around 8pm. State Police had Brian Keith Ritenour in custody for warrant service. Ritenour became unresponsive in his his hospital bed, according to court documents. He was administered Narcan. After he came to, he fought with troopers, trying to get out of the bed. He kicked a trooper dead in the chest, according to the police account.

Ritenour is charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest, simple assault and harassment.
