EAST COCALICO TWP., Pa. - In September of 2011, Kole Trupe ,8, drowned during Tropical Storm Lee. Three East Cocalico Township Police Officers responded to the scene and tried to save his life, but it was too late.

Now,  in Kole's memory, along with his family, officers are collecting toys to take to children at local hospitals.

"To see the smile on the kids faces and just to know that we are bringing some joy to their lives just helps us heal and work through missing our son Kole," said Denise Trupe, Kole's Mother.

Toys are being collected through December 20.
