YORK, Pa.-   York County will begin the new year needing to replace three administrators. The County Commissioners have accepted retirements from York Country Prison warden Mary Sabol, Emergency Services Department Director Eric Bistline and Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center administrator Marlin Peck.

Sabol has been the warden at the county prison since 2008.  She implemented multiple re-entry programs at the prison, including a partnership with HACC and a new work release center. During her time as warden, the prison’s ICE contract has increased its revenue for the county. Sabol’s retirement will be effective January 20, 2017. She has accepted a job as director of corrections for Lehigh County.

Bistline has served as executive director of the county’s emergency services department since 2004. Bistline spearheaded the county’s most recent 911 radio upgrades. Before that, he oversaw a complete overhaul of the county’s emergency services operations, a five-year effort that included a new building and updated equipment that was more than 30 years old. Bistline’s retirement will be effective January 31, 2017.

Peck had been Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s administrator since 2003. His retirement was effective on Thursday December 15.
