YORK, Pa.– A local church opened its doors to help those in need on Saturday night.
Heritage Cathedral, on East Market Street in York, welcomed everyone in the community to break bread as they shared the story of Christmas.

Senior pastor Stephen Rambler says its important to help others, especially at this time of year.

“It’s amazing to see the smiles on the faces, and just to see the eyes brilliantly, excited about what they are about to receive. It’s just so much excitement, and not just in children, but in adults alike,” he said.

Santa Claus stopped by the cathedral as well and food and clothing was given to anyone in need of the basics.
