DERRY TOWNSHIP, Dauphin County, Pa.-- The Hershey Palmyra Sertoma Club held its annual Christmas party for families who've been touched by cancer, on Sunday.

The party is a tradition for young cancer patients and their families to enjoy a special holiday celebration in their honor. More than 300-families attended the event at the Hershey Lodge in Derry Township.

Organizers says the party is a great way to lift children's spirits during the holiday season.

"To see them light up when they go to pick up they're stuffed animal or sit on Santa Claus' lap, it's a thrill," said Jacob Ensminger, who helped organize the event.
This is the 36th year the Sertoma Club organized the Christmas party. The organization raises over $45,000 each year to be donated to local charities and families in the community who need help.
