Elderly woman found, taken to hospital this morning

SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, Dauphin County, Pa.-- UPDATE: Sandra "Sandy" Murchie was found this morning around 9:45 a.m., according to Ecumenical staff. She was found in the area of the Texas Roadhouse along Union Deposit Road. She was taken to the hospital this morning.

Ecumenical released the following statement:

"Ecumenical Retirement Community is incredibly grateful to Susquehanna Township emergency personnel, personnel from neighboring emergency response teams, staff members, neighbors and friends who assisted in the search. We continue to work with authorities as they conclude their investigation."


Police and emergency crews in Dauphin County are searching for a missing woman.

77-year old, Sandra "Sandy" Murchie, was reported missing from Ecumenical Communities, a retirement and assisted living facility in Susquehanna Township, around 5:00 Sunday evening.

Police say Murchie suffers from dementia and may not be wearing a coat, which is a concern in the cold weather. Officials do not know exactly what she is wearing.

People who live in the area of the facility at 624 Wilhelm Road are asked to check around their properties.
