YORK, Pa. -- A group of restaurateurs in York offered hundreds of spaghetti dinners to people in the community.

The York City Independent Restaurant Association received about $1,500 in donations to make the hot meals. Dozens of people from downtown restaurants and organizations volunteered their time at YorKitchen.

Meagan Feeser, one of the organizers of the event, said, "We've had a great holiday season and we get a lot of support from York City, from our community here. And we just wanted to give back. We know how to do food. And we figured we would share our food with our neighbors."

Leftover food will go to the Food Bank or Life Path Christian Ministries.
