LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.– Four men faced charges in district courts for separate cases for supplying heroin that resulted in fatal overdoses.

These court appearances have all been held since December 9, and all four men are charged with felony counts of drug delivery that resulted in death.

The court appearances had the following results:

  • Bayrex Acevedo, 37, was ordered to stand trail regarding the September death of 36-year-old Shannon Hartley in Elizabeth Township. At a hearing, a state trooper testified about an exchange of text messages and statements to police in which Acevado admits to providing heroin that Hartley used in his presence. He is in Lancaster County Prison on $500,000 bail.
  • Zachery Hardy, 29, waived his hearing regarding the October death of 30-year old Thomas Burkett in Conroy Township. Hardy is in Lancaster County Prison on $500,000 bail.
  • David Crockett, 38, is facing charges regarding the September death of 40-year-old Tammy Givler. Crockett is charged with providing Givler with heroin, and then leaving her in her vehicle in an East Cocalico parking lot while she overdosed. He is at Lancaster County Prison on $100,000 bail and a judge denied Crockett’s motion to have his bail be reduced.
  • Ramon Beachy, 32, waived a hearing regarding the June death of 44-year-old Bryan Bowman in Ephrata. Beachy is at Lancaster County Prison on $1 million bail.

All four men will face their charges at trial.
