DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — Christopher Burkett, 26, was the victim of a shooting in Harrisburg on Monday.  Today Burkett succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

Harrisburg Police responded to the Harrisburg Fried Chicken on 1314 Market St. for a shooting victim.  Officers saw Burkett in a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.  He was unresponsive and was taken to Hershey Medical Center in critical condition.

The shooter, who is still on the loose, was described as a short, black male, with an average build.  He was seen running west on Market St. towards 13th St.

The investigation is still ongoing and police are still looking for the shooter.
