LANCASTER, Pa.– The victim of a shooting on Sunday has died at the Lancaster General Hospital.  The victim was identified as 19-year-old Daniel Eugenio Sanchez of Lancaster.

An autopsy will be completed and investigators will be consulting with Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office regarding the charges in this case.

On Sunday, Feb. 26 at 11:46 a.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of Dauphin St. for a reported shooting. Investigators found a man lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds and a head injury. He was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers secured the area and investigators began looking for witnesses, evidence and checked cameras in the area.

As a result of the investigation police charged Jose G. Duque, 20, with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault and firearms not to be carried without a license. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
