Police looking for 2 people who assaulted security gaurds at Harrisburg mall

SWATARA TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. –Police are searching for two people after three Harrisburg Mall security guards were assaulted on Saturday.

Swatara Township police responded to the Harrisburg Mall around 11:18 a.m. for a report of an assault.

The incident unfolded as a mall security guard was attempting to detain a disorderly man, according to police reports.

Investigators say the man punched a mall security guard in the face and fled towards the parking lot.

Two other security guards caught the man at his car, but a woman intervened and used pepper spray on the guards as they were attempting to handcuff the suspect.

The pair were last seen driving away in an older model silver colored SUV.

The first suspect is described as a light skinned black male, in his mid-20s, between 5’1” and 5’2” in height, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing dark jeans with a black jacket and white sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a is described as a dark skinned black woman, 5’4” in height, 200 pounds with short black hair.

One guard suffered injuries from the punch and was being treated at a local hospital and the other two guards were treated for the pepper spray exposure.
