PALMYRA, Pa. — Palmyra Police arrested a man for a sexual assault in the Borough. Francisco Sandoval-Rivas is facing numerous charges, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse on an unconscious person, burglary, sexual assault, indecent assault, and criminal trespass. It happened early Saturday morning in the 300 block of North Chestnut Street.

The victim told police that Sandoval-Rivas came into her apartment while she was sleeping on her couch, and began performing sexual acts on the victim. Upon waking up, the victim screamed, and asked Sandoval how he got into her apartment, to which he replied “I’m not here” and left, according to court documents.

The victim also told police that Sandoval had come to her home the previous evening, and was attempting to establish physical contact with her, and putting his arms around her, the victim asked Sandoval to leave, and he did.

When police interviewed Sandoval, he admitted to entering the victim’s home through the front door, and initiating sexual contact with the victim while she was asleep, according to court documents. He also admitted that he was aware he did not have the victim’s permission to be in the home at the time, and that he knew she was sleeping when he initiated the sexual contact.

Sandoval is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, burglary, sexual assault, criminal trespass, and indecent assault,

Sandoval-Rivas, 27, of no fixed address, is in Lebanon County Correctional Facility on $75,000 bail.
