YORK CITY, Pa.– Two suspects in the death of 22-year-old Lester Cortes-Cotto were apprehended by York City Police and the U.S. Fugitive Task Force Tuesday morning, police announced.
Juan Castro-Oquendo, 35, and Jose Castro-Oquendo, 31, were arrested in an apartment on the 900 block of East Market Street at 8:45 a.m. They are awaiting arraignment and transport to York County Prison, police say.
Both are charged with criminal homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide.
Cortes-Cotto died early Sunday after he showed up at York Hospital with multiple sharp force injuries. Police located a crime scene and believe he was assaulted along the first block of East Maple Street.
