CHAMBERSBURG — A Chambersburg man allegedly rammed another man’s car, forcing it off the road, in a domestic incident, police say.

Edwin Jovan Lopez-Gonzalez, 25, of the 100 block of East Queen Street, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person for the incident, which occurred Tuesday on Nitterhouse Drive. Police say Lopez-Gonzalez followed the victim from the victim’s place of employment and rammed into the victim’s vehicle, believing his child’s mother was in the victim’s car.

The victim, who drove from the scene to the police station to report the incident, told police he was in fear for his safety and drew his gun to protect himself. He told police he fired four shots into Lopez-Gonzalez’s vehicle.

Police sent officers to Lopez-Gonzalez’s residence and located his vehicle. Police observed that the vehicle had sustained heavy damage to the front end and passenger side that matched the pattern described by the victim. Officers also noted four bullet holes in the vehicle that matched the angle of fire described by the victim.

No one was injured in the incident, police say.
