WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY, Pa -- A total of 10 people are displaced after a fire damages three apartments in Windsor Township on Saturday morning.

Yoe Fire Chief Rick Searle says crews responded to the 2500 block of Freysville Road for an apartment fire around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The fire started in the middle apartment, and caused smoke damage to two others. Searle says it took crews about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.

The unintentional fire started after a child in the middle apartment was playing with a lighter.

The Red Cross is assisting the 6 adults and 4 children who were displaced.  Nobody was injured in the blaze, but one rabbit did perish.

Searle estimates damage to be around $70,000 between the three apartments.
