DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.– A crash closed all lanes of Interstate 283 early Monday morning. Officials have confirmed that a tractor trailer carrying chickens exited to the right side of the roadway, and struck a concrete barrier. The tractor rolled over, and released some of the birds onto the highway. Currently, the southbound lanes of I-283 are closed and there is no timetable for when the road will reopen. The alternate route for travel is the PA Turnpike. There is no word on if there are any injuries at this time. FOX43 has a crew on the scene and we will provide updates as they become available.
