  • Big rigs hit the road in 29th Annual Make-A-Wish Mother’s Day Truck Convoy

    LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Hundreds of trucks hit the roads of Lancaster County to help children battling critical illnesses. The 29th annual Mother’s Day Truck Convoy is the world’s largest convoy and a fundraiser to benefit the Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley organization. This annual tradition featured over 500 tractor trailer trucks and more than 10 wish children parading through 26-miles of Lancaster County.     YORK, Pa. — The York Revolution baseball team recognized first responders during Sunday’s double-header game against the New Britain Bees. While it is typically a celebratory time, this year’s event was a somber one as the team paid tribute to four fallen officers.   • Memorial service announced for York City Police Officer Alex Sable

    York, Pa. — York City officials say the public is invited to a memorial service for fallen York City Police Officer Alex Sable. The service will be held Friday, May 18th at 12:00 p.m. at the Utz Arena at the York Expo Center in West Manchester Township.   • U.S. Postal Service hosts 26th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

    YORK, Pa.– Letter carriers with the United States Postal Service spent Saturday doing double duty, delivering mail and collecting donations. It’s part of the agency’s annual “Stamp Out Hunger” event. The national campaign encourages the public to donate a grocery bag full of non-perishable food items, by leaving them either at their mailbox or front door.  The items collected by postal workers will then be given to organizations that serve their local communities.     MECHANICSBURG, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa.– Hundreds of people turned out to raise money for pancreatic cancer research in Cumberland County on Sunday. The 2nd annual Lustgarten Walk was held at the Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg. Walkers and runners raised money for the Lustgarten Foundation which works to advance research for pancreatic cancer, including better early detection tools and treatment with the hope of eventually finding a cure for the disease.     RAPHO TOWNSHIP, Lancaster County, Pa. — Keeping first responders on the road alive.  That’s the message the Pennsylvania Towing Association was pushing Saturday at their “Hookin’ up and Hangin’ out” event in Lancaster County.     LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — It’s a sure sign of spring a Pennsylvania’s Big 33 team took to the field this weekend for practice.   • York City shooting critically injures one person

    YORK, Pa. — York City police are investigating a weekend shooting that injured one person. Officers say it happened Sunday around 5:30 p.m. on the 300-block of Lindberg Avenue. When they arrived, they found an adult male that had been shot at least once in the leg. He was rushed to York Hospital where he’s listed in critical condition.
