    Columbia, Pa. – In Lancaster County, several organizations and hundreds of volunteers turned out Sunday to help with an annual food drive in Columbia. Sponsored by the Columbia Lions Club and Sunsnappers, 750 boxes were packed with holidays meals and and toys for families in need.   • Governor’s Mansion ready for the holidays

    Harrisburg, Pa.–  Holiday spirits are in full swing at the Governor’s Mansion in Harrisburg. Governor Tom Wolf and First Lady Frances hosted their annual holiday open house on Sunday. People got the chance to tour the home to see all the holiday decorations, all for free. Governor Wolf says volunteers from his staff, and even his family got involved to decorate the entire mansion.

  • Auto auction benefits York County Drug Task Force

    WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, PA. –  The York County District Attorney’s office hosted a different kind of Black Friday event: a car auction. More than 40 court-ordered vehicles, formerly owned by drivers who were convicted of drug crimes, were sold to the highest bidders.   • Organizations team up in York to distribute Thanksgiving meal boxes

    York, Pa. – 250 volunteers and two organizations worked together Saturday to prepare and pack 2,500 Thanksgiving food boxes ahead of this week’s holiday. The boxes will help nearly 6,000 people be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner that includes a turkey and all the trimmings.   • A “pop-up shop” in York offers free necessities to families in need

    York, Pa. – A “pop-up shop” spent Saturday giving people in need a chance to get some clothes and hygiene products for free. The event was held at  CrossFit York on W. Philadelphia Street in downtown York. It was spearheaded by Samantha Fullam, after volunteering in September in Florida with hurricane relief efforts.   • Greg Johnson claims second straight win in Enders Harrisburg Marathon

    Harrisburg, Pa. — It was a chilly Sunday morning, but that didn’t stop 12,000 runners from competing in this year’s Enders Harrisburg Marathon. Claiming the top spot, Greg Johnson of Dillsburg. The 26-year-old crossed the finish line at 2:36:40, which is a pace of 5:59 per mile.  This is Johnson’s second win in Harrisburg.  He’s says this win is very special for him, and that even his father got in on the action, making Harrisburg his first marathon.     York, Pa.– Police in York say a 29-year old man is dead, following a shooting in the city. Officers with the York City Police Department say it happened along the 200-block of East Philadelphia Street around 4:00 p.m. They say the shooting happened between two vehicles; the victim, Jamie Weimert of Cobb Island, Maryland was driving a truck.
