Hi there!  I’m so honored to be a part of your morning each day on FOX43 Morning News!

While the morning show may mean some crazy early hours (1AM wake up calls– whaaaat?!), it’s hard to imagine a better gig.  Well, as long as there is a bottomless pot of coffee somewhere nearby!  As crazy as the show seems on the air, I can promise you it’s just as crazy and fun behind the scenes – we really do have a blast bringing you the news each and every day.

Prior to joining FOX43, I was an evening anchor and reporter in Redding/Chico, CA.  While I do love the fun, light hearted feel of morning news, I also thrive on hard hitting journalism. While at KRCR-TV, I spent several summers trekking the mountains of Northern California, covering some of the most dangerous wildfires to hit the country.  I also intensely covered the booming underground marijuana business in some of the most remote parts of the state, where children grow up knowing only one way to make money – growing and selling pot. When I wasn’t out in the field tracking down stories, I was often investigating the foreclosure crisis during the height of the recession.

I’m often asked why I got into television news.  I honestly can’t remember ever wanting to do anything else, but journalism is in my blood.  My grandfather spent most of his career working for ABC News in Washington, DC.  I grew up listening to him tell stories about covering the White House and big political stories of his time.  I still love hearing him talk about the way television news used to be.  I hope to be doing the very same thing years from now.
