Hey there!  I’m the morning meteorologist for WPMT FOX43.  I’ve been doing the TV weather thing since 2006, after graduating Penn State!

Pennsylvania is my home state.  Born and raised in Northeast PA, I have a great love for this state and all it has to offer, so I’m excited to live and travel in Central Pennsylvania.  I love to see new places and try new foods and restaurants, so you may see me out and about stuffing my face (and subsequently, reluctantly running it off so I can fit in my suits still!)

More history?  I worked for WBRE in Williamsport, KPLC in Lake Charles LA, and WSFA in Montgomery AL.  I got to meet some great people (and eat some great food) along the way!  I also took some tests and made colleagues watch my forecasts, so now I’m a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist with the American Meteorological Society and sealed by the National Weather Association.

I love to spend time with friends and family when I’m not pointing at a green wall for money.  I also have a huge passion for helping others.  I’ve been a volunteer firefighter since the age of 14 (yes, you can join that young in PA).  I’m nationally certified as a firefighter and state certified as an EMT, so if you have something on fire or are in pain, you can request my services for that as well.  I currently volunteer with the “Men in Black” of the Wrightsville Steam Fire Engine & Hose Company #1 in eastern York County.

I’m a New Orleans Saints and Penn State fan, so you can cheer along with me (or weep in some occasions)!

That’s about it for me!  I’d love to hear from you!  Shoot me an email at jjumper@fox43.com with ideas, questions, or suggestions on where to eat!
